The Operation Christmas Child shoe box ministry sends gift & necessity filled shoe boxes to over 144 countries all over the world. Last year nearly 8 million boxes were shipped and we want 2010 to top that 8 million! Each child that receives a box also receives devotional material and the opportunity to attend a short devotional school session as well. These invaluable boxes are also shipped to areas for disaster relief and into war torn areas where many of these children have lost their families. These small gifts have very BIG impact! If you are interested in SPONSORSHIP we have six ways for you to become involved. No company or individual should be unable to be a sponsor at one of the following levels:
- Financial Sponsorship: There are many benefits your company can enjoy when you participate at one of four levels of donation. There will be media benefits as well! If your 2009 budget is exhausted for both charitable donations and marketing expenses, our lowest two level of participation are easily attained with an employee collection!
- FIRST BASE – Company name & logo on entry forms / company literature in goody bags / one complimentary race entry / one complimentary race shirt $300
- SECOND BASE – Company name & logo on entry forms, promo materials, TShirts, banners / company literature in goody bags / three complimentary race entries / three complimentary race shirts $500
- THIRD BASE – Company name & logo on entry forms, promo materials, TShirts, banners / company literature in goody bags / six person team race entry / six complimentary race shirts $1,000
- HOME RUN – EXCLUSIVE finish line banner & it’s media exposure / Exposure in Big Peach Running Co Stores, Competitor magazine, RunGeorgia.com, TheShoeBoxDerby5K.com, Active.com / company name & logo on entry forms, promo materials, TShirts, banners / company literature in goody bags / six person team race entry / six complimentary race shirts $5,000
In Kind Donations: You may choose to help supply basic necessities like water, fruit, bagels, granola bars, volunteers, signage, services or other needs that we have to meet. This is often an easier and very rewarding way for companies to help out.
- Silent Auction Items: We will hold a silent auction to benefit OCC, with items being offered for adults AND children! This, like the ‘in-kind’ donations is an easy way for some businesses to participate.
- Sponsor Package Items: Each individual that brings in a filled shoe box will receive a "Sponsor Package". If you company has promo items like water bottles or frisbees with your logo on them, take this opportunity to donate AND advertise – without spending additional money!
- Goody Bags: Entrants will receive a goody bag with their TShirts after the race. You can include your company by providing literature, coupons or special offers.
- Participate! Send a group to walk/run and be a part of this exciting event! We’ll even have corporate prizes for ‘Largest Group’ ‘Most Enthusiastic Group’ and ‘Most Shoe Boxes Donated’. DON YOUR COMPANY SHIRTS and come have a great time!
